Learn how to facilitate interactive theatre plays and open the dialogue!

In Forum Theatre there is always a facilitator who is leading the interaction between the actors and the audience. This person has a special name, we call it “Joker”.
This person is responsible for leading the dialogue, opening a safe space and holding it, engaging the audience in the play, and facilitating the warming up and energizers in between.
As a Joker you feel the energy in the room and you connect with the questions the audience has and the ideas they want to try out. You make sure that everyone can follow and try to be as neutral as possible on the ideas the audience brings in.

These skills are not only handy for Forum Theatre plays, but for whenever you want to open the dialogue about critical topics. It is very useful to be able to create a space wherein a dialogue can be facilitated safely and openly and without losing the red thread.

This is why we offer the Joker course as a follow-up to the Basic Forum Theatre course.

If you have no experience in interactive theatre or facilitating a dialogue, we advise you to join the Forum Theatre course in November first.

It is a two days course (3rd & 4th of Dec) and we ask for a contribution of 25€ for it. It will take place in the Clockbuilding, Generaal Foulkesweg 37 in Wageningen.
